### **About the vacancy**

Q1 2026

- **Place of employment**

Preferably Addis Ababa, Nairobi or Kampala. Candidates based in other East African countries are eligible to apply as well. 

- **Working hours**

Full-time position (40 hours per week).

- **Position**

The Investment Manager (Medior) will play a critical role in Oxano's mission, working under the guidance of the Investment Director.

**Key responsibilities**

- Engage closely with portfolio companies to provide strategic and operational guidance.
- Coach management teams to strengthen leadership and execution.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) in line with investment goals.
- Conduct regular site visits (1–2 per year) to assess progress and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support investees in achieving operational excellence and sustainable impact.
- Monitor and report on financial and impact performance.

**Qualifications**

- At least 5 years of experience in investment management, corporate finance, or general management within Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-cultural and entrepreneurial environments.
- Strong soft skills: communication, adaptability, teamwork, and emotional intelligence.
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of financial statements and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in manufacturing and/or agro-processing/tech sectors preferred.
- Genuine commitment to sustainable, impact-driven investing.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
