Preferably Addis Ababa, Nairobi or Kampala. Candidates based in other East African countries are eligible to apply as well.

Full-time position (40 hours per week).

  • Position

The Investment Manager (Medior) will play a critical role in Oxano's mission, working under the guidance of the Investment Director.

Key responsibilities
  • Engage closely with portfolio companies to provide strategic and operational guidance.
  • Coach management teams to strengthen leadership and execution.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) in line with investment goals.
  • Conduct regular site visits (1–2 per year) to assess progress and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support investees in achieving operational excellence and sustainable impact.
  • Monitor and report on financial and impact performance.

Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in investment management, corporate finance, or general management within Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-cultural and entrepreneurial environments.
  • Strong soft skills: communication, adaptability, teamwork, and emotional intelligence.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or agro-processing/tech sectors preferred.
  • Genuine commitment to sustainable, impact-driven investing.
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
