Reflecting on the Sankalp Forum

The energy at the recent Sankalp Forum in Nairobi was contagious!

The Sankalp Forum, a vibrant gathering of entrepreneurs, investors, and changemakers, fosters a thriving ecosystem for businesses tackling social and environmental issues in Africa. One of our founders, Hans Walhout’s attendance at this forum offered a chance to connect with inspiring minds and witness firsthand the immense potential Africa holds for positive impact investment.

Here are some key takeaways from our participation:

  • Innovation: Engaging with a diverse array of innovative entrepreneurs not only underscores the continent's growth trajectory through the development of solutions that effectively tackle widespread challenges, but also emphasizes the immense potential for others to grow in these transformative ventures.
  •
  • Investment opportunities: By supporting these forward-thinking initiatives, investors can not only contribute to the economic advancement of the region but also drive positive social change and promote sustainable development across the continent. The opportunity presented by impact investment in these innovative enterprises holds the promise of not only financial returns but also the creation of lasting, meaningful impact that can propel the continent towards a more prosperous and equitable future.
  •
  • Collaboration: Sankalp presented an opportunity to connect with others who are exploring the continent. Here at Oxano Capital, we value partnerships and creation of synergies that can lead to the development of more robust and sustainable solutions to the complex challenges facing the continent, ultimately paving the way for greater success and positive change.

Looking ahead, we are excited to amplify the impact of the investment movement across Africa.  We are confident that collective action will unlock opportunities for sustainable and equitable development for the continent.
