We are delighted to announce the newest addition to the Oxano Capital portfolio:Mujuni Ventures Ltd (MVL), a Ugandan dairy processing company working to strengthen the country’s dairy value chain while creating opportunities for smallholder farmers.
Founded in 2019 by Dickson Mujuni, Mujuni Ventures has grown from a milk aggregation business into an integrated dairy company producing and distributing Too GooD Yogurt® and other quality dairy products. The company sources milk from smallholder farmers in southwestern Uganda and connects them to formal markets through its growing processing and distribution network.
Uganda’s dairy sector plays an important role in rural livelihoods, food security, and economic development. Yet many smallholder farmers continue to face challenges in accessing reliable markets and generating consistent income from their production.
Mujuni Ventures addresses this gap by connecting farmers to a structured market while adding value through local processing. By transforming locally sourced milk into nutritious dairy products, the company helps retain more value within the local economy while expanding access to quality dairy products for consumers across Uganda.
What attracted Oxano Capital to Mujuni Ventures is the company’s established farmer network, strong understanding of the local dairy market, experienced leadership, and opportunity to scale its processing and distribution capabilities.
Mujuni Ventures' impact extends across the dairy ecosystem. Its model supports smallholder farmers by providing access to formal markets, creates employment through its growing operations, and contributes to improved access to nutritious dairy products.
The company’s growth contributes to SDGs 1, 2, 5, 8, 12, and 13, supporting poverty reduction, food security, economic opportunity, gender inclusion, responsible production, and climate-conscious growth.
As Mujuni Ventures enters its next phase of development, Oxano Capital will support the company in expanding its processing capacity, strengthening its cold-chain infrastructure, and increasing its distribution and market presence across Uganda.
