Our reflection on the 2026 Sankalp Forum

• This year marked our second time attending the Sankalp Africa Summit. The 2026 summit also celebrated the 13th edition of one of Africa’s largest showcases of entrepreneurs and impact investors.

  Under the theme “South–South Rising,” this year’s summit placed Africa at the center of collaboration within the Global South. Rather than relying primarily on capital, knowledge, and partnerships from the Global North, the discussions focused on strengthening investment, innovation, and partnerships within the Global South itself.

  The summit highlighted how countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America share similar development challenges, from infrastructure gaps and climate risks to financial inclusion. By learning from each other’s experiences, these regions can develop more relevant and scalable solutions.

  Throughout the event, sessions and discussions focused on sectors that are critical for Africa’s future, including:

Climate resilience and adaptation

Agriculture and food systems

Healthcare innovation

Circular economy and sustainability

These sectors reflect where many African entrepreneurs and investors are actively building impactful and scalable solutions.
